The Manhattan Declaration

So, I was skeptical at first, but this seems to be one of the first genuine examples of ecumenical work that I've ever seen. I had a few critiques of a few points. Most notable among these critiques is that it doesn't address all of the symptoms in the "Life" section: the cheapening of life and the marital act in contraception warranted mention. It does, however, address the underlying concept of a culture of death.

All in all, this is a big step in the right direction and I would like to encourage Christians everywhere to sign it as well. Read the declaration and tell me that it doesn't take an appropriate stand on three major issues in our society today. May Christ be our light and guide us along His path.
